Your well-being is affected by your office!
During the COVID-19 pandemic, many people have worked from home, where they had to set up a home office, but it is challenging their well-being.
According to a survey done by YouGov on the behalves of IF Skadesforsikring, nearly half (46%) of people, who moved their office home want to continue working from the home office.
Prosperity and quality
Having an office at home has both pros and cons regarding task completion, comfort, and occupational injuries. Higher effectivity has been proven when working at the home office, where you can immerse yourself better in tasks. This creates higher quality and more depth to your work.
One of the cons is the lack of being physically in the same location as your colleagues. Meeting them in the kitchen, in the hall, or anywhere else is missing. Research shows that humans are socially-dependent herd animals and they need interaction with other humans. This has been a huge challenge during the COVID-19 pandemic and is a problem when you work from your home office.
Too many virtual/online meetings does not create the same social interaction as being physically next to other people. Therefore, the cohesion between coworkers is essential to your well-being. Moreover, the ability to network with colleagues is an important part of being in an office. Networking can create synergy across industries and sparring between companies!
The home office is not properly decorated
During COVID-19 more and more workplaces has been moved home to stop the virus from spreading. This means more people have been forced to sit either in the kitchen or in the living room in a couch or chair, that is not suitable for work.
Not all people own ergonomic furniture to help them during the day working at home. Working all day with our the right furniture can give you a sore body and potentially injuries!
Office with a feeling of cohesion
Coworking spaces can be the perfect substitute to the office at home! In coworking spaces you usually get ergonomic furniture, so you can avoid sitting in an unfavorable position all day! This will help you avoid a sore body and potential injury in the long run. At the same time, you will join a community of like-minded people and activate your sociale needs!
As a bonus, the ability to network at a coworking space is incredible. You can meet new connections at the coffee maker and add to your network at your own office.
At Coworking Plus we also host a lot of events, both for the community, but also larger events for all! The network comes to you and you don’t even have to leave the building!
